Yoga is a great way to improve your physical and mental health, increase flexibility and balance, and reduce stress. If you're new to yoga, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. Here are some yoga exercises for beginners to try:

Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

Stand with your feet hip-distance apart, with your weight evenly distributed on both feet. Lift your toes and spread them apart, then place them back down. Engage your thighs and tuck your tailbone. Roll your shoulders back and down, and lengthen your neck. Take a few deep breaths in this pose.

Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana)

Start on your hands and knees, with your wrists under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. Tuck your toes and lift your hips up and back, straightening your arms and legs into an inverted V-shape. Press your hands and feet into the ground and lengthen your spine. Hold for a few breaths.

Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I)

Start in Mountain Pose, then step your left foot back about 3-4 feet. Turn your left foot out at a 45-degree angle and bend your right knee, keeping it over your ankle. Raise your arms overhead and gaze up at your hands. Hold for a few breaths, then switch sides.

Tree Pose (Vrksasana)

Stand with your feet hip-distance apart, then shift your weight onto your left foot. Place your right foot on your left thigh, with your toes pointing down. Bring your hands to your heart and focus on a point in front of you. Hold for a few breaths, then switch sides.

Child's Pose (Balasana)

Start on your hands and knees, then bring your hips back towards your heels and stretch your arms out in front of you. Rest your forehead on the ground and breathe deeply.

Perform Slowly in a Relaxed Manner

Remember to listen to your body and modify or skip poses as needed. It's important to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of your yoga practice. As you become more comfortable with these beginner poses, you can try more advanced poses and sequences.
